Join one of South Florida’s most beloved Independence Day traditions in beautiful Downtown Delray Beach! For over 50 years, the City of Delray Beach’s annual 4th of July Celebration has brought families, residents, and visitors together for a full day of patriotic fun, live entertainment, beach activities, and a spectacular fireworks finale over the Atlantic Ocean.
Event Highlights
- Morning Beach Activities (8:00 AM – 1:00 PM)
- 4’s on the 4th Volleyball Tournament
- Community Sand Sculpting Contest
- Guided Snorkeling & Scuba Tours of the historic S.S. Inchulva “Delray Wreck”
- Downtown Festivities Begin at 5:00 PM on East Atlantic Avenue & A1A
- 5:00 PM – Opening of the 1976 Bicentennial Time Capsule at the Main Stage
- 6:00 PM – 60-foot Flag Raising Ceremony & National Anthem at Atlantic Avenue and Seabreeze Boulevard
- 6:30 PM – Live Music & Entertainment Begins featuring Let’s Groove Tonight, DJ SoNyce, and Digital Vibez
Enjoy family-friendly activities throughout the evening including games, face painting, crafts, photo opportunities, and more. Browse food trucks and local vendors offering a wide variety of delicious food and sweet treats.
The evening culminates with a breathtaking fireworks display over the Atlantic Ocean beginning promptly at 9:00 PM.

- Street Closures: July 4, 12:00 PM – 11:00 PM
- East Atlantic Avenue (Intracoastal Bridge to A1A)
- A1A (Thomas Street to Miramar Drive)
- Parking & Transportation Visitors are encouraged to park west of the Intracoastal Bridge and use downtown parking facilities. Alternative options include Tri-Rail, biking, or complimentary Freebee rides throughout downtown Delray Beach.
