Once the tree is aglow, step inside to explore the story of our charming Village by the Sea through animated holiday scenes, or wander through Santa’s Holiday Village featuring ice skating, a carousel, mini golf, and visits with Santa in his cozy house.
The festivities continue along Atlantic Avenue, which will be closed to vehicle traffic for this special night. Stroll with family and friends while enjoying food vendors, games, carolers, and unique activities like a silent disco. This is one magical holiday tradition you won’t want to miss!
From Roots to Riches: The Story of Delray’s 100-Foot Tree
Did you know our famous tree began as a 50-foot holiday centerpiece purchased in 1993 by the Delray Beach Downtown Development Authority to help revitalize the city’s struggling downtown? In 1995, the DDA added another 50 feet in honor of Delray Beach’s Centennial—100 feet for 100 years. Today, the city proudly displays a new 100-foot tree, symbolizing not just holiday spirit, but the growth, history, and vitality of Downtown Delray Beach.
From a community effort to spark economic growth to becoming a beloved holiday destination, the 100-foot tree has become a shining beacon of joy and tradition for locals and visitors alike.
